Way To Go, Southwest Airlines!

The Axiom Of Responsibility

Individuals Demonstrate Valid Behavior

By Taking Responsibility

For Themselves And Their Children

According to the CNN Video “Unruly Family Booted Off Plane,” Wendy Slaughter, her four children, and her pregnant sister, were kicked off their Southwest Airlines connection from Phoenix to Seattle after the children disrupted passengers on their previous flight. While Wendy admits that her children were “out of control on the flight,” she says that Southwest Airlines owes them compensation and a public apology.

Unbelievable!

Adhering to Magna Sententia, if anyone owes someone a public apology, it is Wendy Slaughter: She owes every single passenger, crew member, and pilot on the plane an apology for disrupting their flight, as well as for her inability to control her children – and the sooner, the better. How dare she make Southwest Airlines the bad guy when she is to blame for the entire ordeal!

Let’s get something straight people: YOU are responsible for your children’s behavior!

Now, if your baby is crying, and he/she won’t stop, it is a completely different situation. All of us with children have had moments when our babies wouldn’t stop fussing, no matter what we did to make them happy. Passengers sharing a confined space must understand that babies are babies. Wendy Slaughter’s children, however, are not babies. Yes, two of them have disabilities, but if their disabilities are so severe as to prevent Wendy from being able to keep them in control, she must make the polite and responsible choice not to fly with them. This is not unfair. This is having some consideration for those around her.

Also, if Grandma Bobby Tucker wants to help, she can start by teaching Wendy how to discipline her children, and if Wendy has to travel, Grandma can help her DRIVE!
